Hello, I figured I'd start off with the Bonanza reference to get that over and done with. Anyways, I am a UCF senior, soon-to-be super senior, studying Information Technology here at the main campus. I have enjoyed my time at UCF a good amount, and I am ready to see what will come of me once I cross that stage during graduation. Though I took CIS4004 before, I am looking forward to what Professor Hensel has in store for this class.
Below are some specific on fields of IT that interest me.
Hardware vs Software I've learned that programming as a primary role is not my vibe when it comes to potential career opportunites. I enjoy fixing materialistic things, if you will, when it comes to the world of IT. |
Project Management Since working for UCF IT PMO, I've gained an interest in how I can use the knowledge and experience gained through this job for post-graduation possibilites. |
IT Technician Similairy to the hardware vs software idea, I enjoy fixing PCs problems and such with my hands rather than coding software for the PCs. |
Gov't Contractor or Tech Giant In regards to potential employers, I think working for gov't contractors like Lockheed or Northrop will be quite an experience. Similarly, working for tech giants like Apple or Microsoft would be a really cool expierence as well. |
