Just a little obsessed is all.
Capybaras are the largest living rodents in the world. Distant relatives to guinea pigs, they are highly social and mostly docile animals. These tubby, fluffy fellas are thankfully not a threatened species, and so find themselves hunted for their meat and fur. As herbivores, they have to look out for jaguars, pumas, and all kinds of snakes.
Capybaras are native to South America and live in savannahs, plains, and dense forests. They can be found in many countries, ranging from Brazil to Argentina. They have a preference for bodies of water, living (and mating) near rivers, lakes, and other flooded or humid environments. Hardy and capable swimmers, they take well to any native watery environment - some are even here in Florida!
I think they're pretty neat. Calm and cute, they're rad animals with a zest for swimming and make friends with all sorts of other animals. There isn't much to hate about them!
