Here is Mangus Mitdbø climbing.
I was born and raised just across the state in Tampa Bay. I grew up with two other siblings in a suburban setting. Growing up I played soccer all the way up until I graduated high school. My passions changed as I explored my first year in college and I changed a lot as a person. By the end of freshman year I had found rock climbing and immediately got hooked on it. Ever since then I've been climbing as much as I can, and I've even gotten friends hooked on it as well. Rock climbing is the ultimate full body test of strength and endurance, it pushes anybody to their limits.
I thought I would include a little informational section about safe climbing techniques if you were interested in going to a climbing gym!
Do's | Don'ts |
---|---|
Do properly warm-up and stretch before climbing | Don't begin climbing immediately |
Do reassure no one else has been waiting to climb | Don't assume you can walk up to the wall whenever you want |
Do try to climb down from the top of the wall instead of jumping. | Don't try to get air time and jump from the top of the wall. |
Do practice good fall technique if you do fall. Knees bent and roll into the motion. | Don't keep your legs straight when landing and try to stand up. |
