Hello, as you know, my name is Maleko Mariani. I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin back in 1998. I moved to Florida when I was about 6 years old when my father retired after 20 years in the US Army. I just transferred to UCF in Fall 2021. It was definitely a weird time to enter a new school setting given everything regarding the pandemic. I am currently majoring in Information Technology. I was originally a Mechanical Engineer major, but after a bunch of Calculus, I have to admit that it wasn't for me. However, learning all these new coding languages is rather fun in a way, and I appreciate assignments like these where I can just talk to start out with. I look forward to the rest of this course.
Below you will find my education, experience, skills, and hobbies with some trivia regarding them.

Below you will find a table of my recommened Tokusatsu Shows of the Big Three, if you are ever interested (and are fine reading subtitles).
Show | Context |

Kamen Rider Black | Aired in 1987 to 1988, An evil cult named "Gorgom", consisting of two Guys and a Girl in white capes and robes, intend to appoint a new leader by capturing two chosen humans, implanting them with two powerful artifacts called Kingstones, and having them fight to the death. The winner will be crowned the Creation King, and together with Gorgom they will take over the world. Gritty and dark, it remains one of the more beloved Showa era Kamen Rider shows. It also is getting a reboot show for adults this year in 2022! Fun fact: Kamen Rider first aired in 1971, had a hiatus in the 90s, then returned in 2000 and have been making shows, movies, and more every year nonstop since. |
Ultraman Tiga | Aired in 1996 to 1997, a young officer merges with an ancient Ultraman's (super powered giant aliens that can blow up planets) petrified body to fight against weekly monsters while also uncovering the mysteries of the civilization the Ultraman once protected. This show is also beloved by fans and is a standalone series so one can go in without previous knowledge (aside from an episode cameo). It also had a reboot show called Ultraman Trigger released in 2021 that takes place in an alternate universe from Tiga. Fun Fact: Ultraman first aired in 1966 by the man who worked on Godzilla 1954's effects, it had a hiatus in the 80s, but came back nonstop in the 90s. You may actually find DVDs here in the US. |
Choujin Sentai Jetman | Aired in 1991 to 1992, in the year 199X, an international defence agency called Skyforce creates a method to develop Super Soldiers by infusing humans with "Birdonic Waves". Five of the best Skyforce officers are chosen as the first subjects; unfortunately, the experiment is interrupted when an army of extradimensional invaders known as the Vyram launch a surprise attack on Skyforce's orbital base. Four of the five Birdonic Waves fall to Earth and strike four random Japanese civilians, imbuing them with superhuman power. The only Skyforce officer to successfully receive the Birdonic treatment, is tasked with recruiting and training these ordinary (and far from heroic) people to fight against the Vyram as the Earth's last hope: the Jetman. This is my favorite sentai franchise of all time, it is notably one of the darker shows, as well as the show that saved the whole franchise as a whole. Without it, Power Rangers would never have existed (though given how bad power rangers is now, I would be totally fine with that). Fun Fact: Super Sentai first aired in 1975, and have made shows for 45 consecutive years. What a feat. |
